A private park open to the public

Formerly 100ha of farmland, the site forms the entrance to the large areas of the Tyers Region and Moondarra State Parks.

Wirilda provides the nearest picnic site to Traralgon, Morwell and Moe, offering easy access, a sparkling clear river in the bush setting with toilets, shelter and barbecue facilities.

Birds call picnicers to share the nearby bush with them, and several walking tracks make this offer an easy experience. For the energetic, the tracks lead further up the river to the Tyers Gorge and eventually to the Moondarra Dam.
